Male, born in 1967 in Jilin City, is currently a professor in the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University. he graduated from the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of International Relations of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 1990 as an undergraduate. he graduated from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in 2005 as a doctoral student with a degree in law. He has served as an associate researcher in a department of the General Staff Department at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Regiment, and as an associate researcher, researcher, deputy director of the Strategic Research Office and director of the Institute of Russian East European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also the Secretary General of the National Society of Russian East Europe and Central Asia, a researcher at the Eurasian Institute of Social Development of the Development Research Centre of the State Council, a senior advisor to the Russian direction of the China International Friendship and Liaison Association, and a senior researcher at the China Centre for Peace and Development.


In 2007-2008, he was a visiting scholar at Vilnius University in Lithuania. He has made academic visits in Russia, Japan, Poland, Greece, the Czech Republic and the United States.


He is mainly engaged in research in the field of politics, diplomacy and security in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He has been in charge of one project of the General Staff Force, one project commissioned by the National Development Bank and one major project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and participated in one project of the National Social Science Foundation, four major projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and one project of the Chinese Social Science Library as chief editor or deputy chief editor. He has written one academic book, published five academic books as an associate editor or executive associate editor, and participated in seven academic books and one textbook. He has been selected as one of the army's "3,333" talents and "Double Thousand" talents, and has received 13 military-level research awards. In 2010, he was awarded the Second Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievement and the Third Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievement by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and was awarded the Excellent Decision-making Information Prize by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for many times. He has been awarded the "Excellent Decision Information Award" by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.


He has given more than 80 academic lectures and situation analyses at research institutes, universities and colleges, functional departments, the military and the police, and CCTV in China.
